Data Analyst

Salary: $38 – $50 per hour

About the role
ICT360 is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Kingsland, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decision-making across the organisation. As a Data Analyst, you will be at the heart of our data strategy, working with stakeholders across all levels to extract, analyse and visualise data that supports our company's growth and operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in data analysis whilst contributing meaningfully to the success of ICT360 .

What you'll be doing

• Collect, process and analyse large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns and opportunities

• Design and develop data models and databases to support business requirements and reporting needs

• Create comprehensive reports and data visualisations that communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders

• Collaborate with database administrators and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system performance

• Perform data quality checks and implement data validation processes to maintain accuracy and consistency

• Support the development and optimisation of SQL queries and database operations

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to respond to business questions and provide strategic recommendations

• Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies and analysis procedures

• Participate in ongoing learning and stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies

What we're looking for

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience

• Demonstrated experience with SQL and database management systems (such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL)

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and visualisation software (such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel or similar platforms)

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

• Ability to write clean, efficient code and understand programming fundamentals

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Experience with statistical analysis and data modelling techniques

• Knowledge of database administration principles and best practices

• Experience working with large datasets and performance optimisation is highly desirable

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) is a plus
