About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst who can combine strong analytics with hands-on data engineering and machine learning. Reporting to the founder, you will work across product, engineering and operations to:
Turn large, complex veterinary practice datasets into insights that shape product and business decisions
Build and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server)
Write SQL queries and stored procedures for extraction and transformation
Develop, deploy and monitor machine learning models
Deliver dashboards, reports and visualisations for internal and client stakeholders
Run statistical analysis and A/B tests
Lead data quality checks and data governance practices
About You
Essential:
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in data analysis, data science or similar
Python (analysis, ML, automation) and strong SQL, including SQL Server
Hands-on Databricks and Microsoft Fabric experience
ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch) and model deployment
Statistics, data mining and predictive modelling
Data warehousing and pipeline architecture
Clear communicator who can explain complex findings to non-technical audiences
Experience in agile teams
Desirable:
Master's degree
Healthcare, veterinary or life sciences background
Power BI / Tableau, Git, Azure
Understanding of privacy and data compliance obligations
What We Offer
$70,000 – $90,000 base plus superannuation
Full-time, permanent, fully remote role within Australia, flexible hours around AEST/AEDT
