About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading global banking and financial services organisation, we are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to join their cyber security team on a 12-month contract based in London.

Lead the delivery of the Firewall Rule Remediation Project, ensuring agreed objectives, milestones and timelines are achieved.
Coordinate network security, infrastructure and cyber security teams to review and remediate firewall rules.

Support the delivery of additional cyber security projects throughout FY2027.
Manage project governance, reporting, documentation and progress updates.
Identify and resolve delivery challenges, escalating risks and issues where necessary.

RequirementsEssential Experience
Proven experience as an IT or Cyber Security Project Manager.
Previous experience delivering cyber security projects, ideally within banking or financial services.
Experience delivering firewall remediation, network security or infrastructure security projects is highly desirable.
Good understanding of firewalls, network security and general cyber security principles.
Experience coordinating technical teams, infrastructure engineers, security specialists and third-party vendors.
Strong project planning, governance, risk management and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Comfortable working in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Proactive, organised and able to take ownership of projects from initiation through to completion.
Experience with firewall governance or management tools such as Tufin.
Exposure to Zero Trust, network segmentation or micro-segmentation projects.
Experience delivering DLP, cloud security or other cyber security improvement initiatives.
Understanding of cyber security risk, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Previous experience working within a CISO or cyber security programme team.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
We are looking for a personable, confident and delivery-focused Project Manager who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You don't need to be a firewall engineer or cyber security architect, but you should have enough technical understanding to follow discussions, challenge delivery plans and identify potential risks.
Previous experience delivering firewall remediation or similar network security projects would be a strong advantage.
Above all, we need someone who is organised, takes ownership, communicates clearly and gets projects delivered.
