This is an opportunity to shape how DairyNZ uses CRM, farmer data and insights to make better decisions and deliver greater value for farmers. Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Commercial Partnerships (Insights), you will provide strategic leadership, governance and stewardship of our CRM platform, data quality and farmer insight capability.
You will own the CRM vision, roadmap and investment priorities, ensuring systems, reporting and data practices align with organisational priorities. Leading the CRM Business Lead and Data Quality Administrator, you will build team capability while partnering across DairyNZ to turn trusted farmer and stakeholder data into clear, actionable insights that strengthen engagement, performance and planning.
In this role, you will:
Lead the strategy, governance and stewardship of CRM as DairyNZ’s core farmer engagement, data and insights platform.
Own the CRM vision, roadmap and investment priorities, working with Digital and business leaders to maximise organisational value.
Lead the analysis and interpretation of CRM-derived farmer and stakeholder information, including Voice of Farmer and Farmer Perception Survey data.
Translate complex data and reporting into accessible insights, visualisations and recommendations for business and leadership audiences.
Establish and maintain robust data governance, quality standards, business rules and accountability across CRM data.
Lead, coach and develop the CRM Business Lead and Data Quality Administrator, setting clear expectations and building capability.
Build trusted relationships across DairyNZ and translate stakeholder needs into practical CRM, reporting and insight solutions.
Oversee CRM improvements, adoption, training, change activity and CRM-enabled engagement processes such as segmentation and customer journeys.
About you
You are a strategic and practical CRM and insights leader who understands that trusted data is the foundation of good decisions and meaningful farmer engagement. You combine strong analytical thinking with sound judgement, clear communication and the ability to influence across technical, operational and senior stakeholder groups. You are also a capable people leader who enjoys coaching specialists and creating the conditions for high-quality delivery.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in data analytics, business analysis, information systems, customer insights, agricultural systems or a related discipline.
Proven experience leading or managing CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, including requirements, user adoption, process improvement and system enhancement.
Experience using customer, stakeholder or farmer data to generate actionable insights that inform planning, engagement and decision-making.
Strong data quality management experience, including validation, cleansing, enrichment, standards and issue resolution.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to explain CRM, data and analytics concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience leading, coaching or developing others, including setting priorities, delegating and supporting performance.
Strong relationship management and influencing skills across technical, operational and senior stakeholder groups.
A track record of leading continuous improvement and delivering practical changes to systems, processes and ways of working.
High attention to detail and sound judgement when managing trusted farmer, customer or stakeholder data.
