YOUR ROLE
As a Converter Control Engineer, you will develop and optimize control solutions for generator-side power converters used in renewable energy and industrial drive applications. You will be responsible for creating MATLAB-based engineering tools, developing control algorithms for permanent magnet generators (PMG), implementing embedded software solutions, and supporting system validation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop and improve MATLAB-based tools for tuning generator-side control loops and evaluating generator performance using finite-element data.
-
Design, implement, and optimize control algorithms for PMG-based converter systems, including torque control, speed control, start-up, and motoring functions.Implement and test control software on real-time embedded platforms using C/C++.
-
Build and maintain simulation models of electrical machines, converters, controllers, and mechanical drivetrains using PLECS and MATLAB/Simulink.
-
Perform dynamic simulations, stability analysis, controller tuning, and system identification activities.
-
Support system integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and parameter optimization.Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams on generator-converter interactions.
-
Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, test specifications, and engineering deliverables.
