Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Role Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Manager, Contracts to lead the end-to-end contract management function for our development projects, from tender preparation through to contract close-out. This role works closely with Development, Project Management, and Commercial teams to safeguard Eagle Hills’ commercial interests, manage contractual risk, and ensure the smooth execution of construction and project-related contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end contracting process, from pre-bidding through approvals and execution.
Prepare contract conditions and commercial documentation to support contractor selection and tendering.
Develop and administer tender and contract documentation through to contract close-out, including variations and issue resolution for design, construction, and other project-related contracts.
Evaluate terms, conditions, proposals, and bids, representing Eagle Hills’ interests throughout the evaluation process.
Negotiate project terms, including scope, schedule, and invoicing, with vendors, contractors, and other external parties.
Identify potential contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies to senior management.
Lead and support claims settlement, dispute resolution, and arbitration proceedings.
Review pre-award tender terms and conditions to identify and mitigate commercial risk, including insurance requirements, bank guarantees, and payment terms.
Advise project teams on contract conflicts and claims involving contractors and subcontractors, preparing variations and claims as required.
Generate regular reports on contract and variation status for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction/development discipline.
Experience:
4–6 years of experience in contracts management within a real estate development organization.
Minimum 4 years in a management-level role, with 10+ years of overall professional experience.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and advise on commercial and contractual risk at a strategic level.
Excellent negotiation skills, with experience engaging suppliers and contractors at senior levels.
Strong planning and organizational abilities.
Effective stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
Sound knowledge of contract administration within real estate or construction environments.
