Compliance Officer

You will independently manage and implement the compliance framework for a licensed trading entity in the Netherlands. You will monitor and implement regulatory requirements, maintain policies, conduct trade surveillance, complete reporting and risk assessments, train employees, and support counterparty onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret, and implement relevant Dutch and EU regulations
• Draft, adapt, maintain, and implement local compliance policies
• Conduct trade surveillance and investigate potential market abuse
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the AFM and DNB
• Assist with regulatory inquiries
• Perform compliance risk assessments and report findings
• Deliver compliance training to local employees
• Manage compliance aspects of counterparty onboarding and due diligence

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Finance, or a related field
• 5–8 years of hands-on compliance experience in the Netherlands financial-services sector
• Deep knowledge of the Dutch Wwft and EU AML Directives
• Strong understanding of MiCAR regulation and its market-integrity and conduct rules
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
• Cryptocurrency or high-frequency trading industry experience preferred
• Trade surveillance systems experience preferred
• Familiarity with DORA preferred
• Relevant industry certifications such as CAMS preferred
