The Communications Manager is responsible for
developing and implementing IFZA's external and internal communications
strategies to strengthen the organization's reputation, enhance employee
engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
The role manages corporate public relations, media engagement, internal
communications platforms, employee communications campaigns, and key corporate
events. The Communications Manager also leads the planning, content
development, and execution of IFZA's bi-annual Town Hall meetings and other
internal engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with IFZA's strategic
priorities, culture, and values.
Public Relations & Corporate
Communications
- Develop and
execute IFZA's public relations and corporate communications strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with media,
journalists, industry influencers, and strategic stakeholders.
- Manage press
releases, media statements, executive articles, opinion pieces, and
corporate announcements.
- Coordinate
media interviews, speaking opportunities, podcasts, and external
engagements.
- Monitor media
coverage and industry trends, providing regular reporting and strategic
recommendations.
- Support crisis and issue management
communications when required.
- Ensure
consistency of brand messaging across all external communications
channels.
- Manage external
communications agencies and suppliers where applicable.
Internal Communications
- Develop and execute IFZA's internal
communications strategy to support employee engagement and organisational
alignment.
- Manage internal communication channels,
including intranet, newsletters, email communications, and leadership
updates.
- Create and
implement employee communication campaigns relating to business updates,
culture, people initiatives, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with People & Culture and
business functions to ensure clear and timely communication of
organisational initiatives.
- Monitor
readership, engagement, and communication effectiveness through regular
reporting and analytics.
- Maintain
editorial calendars and communication plans for all internal channels.
Town Halls & Corporate Events
- Lead the
end-to-end planning and delivery of IFZA's bi-annual Town Hall events.
- Develop event
themes, communication plans, executive presentations, scripts, key
messages, and employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate with
leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality
content and delivery.
- Manage internal
event communications before, during, and after events.
- Support additional employee engagement
events, culture initiatives, recognition programmes, and strategic
internal campaigns throughout the year.
- Coordinate suppliers, event agencies,
production teams, and vendors when required.
- Measure event
effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Content & Editorial Management
- Oversee the
creation of high-quality written, visual, and digital communications
content.
- Ensure all
communications reflect IFZA's tone of voice and brand standards.
- Manage communication calendars and workflow
across multiple stakeholders.
- Review and
approve communication materials before publication.
Performance & Reporting
- Track and report on communication KPIs,
including media coverage, engagement, reach, readership, and sentiment.
- Produce regular communications performance
reports and strategic recommendations.
- Use data and
feedback to continuously improve communications effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8
years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations,
Internal Communications, or related fields.
- Demonstrated
experience managing corporate reputation and media relations.
- Proven track record in employee
communications and engagement programmes.
- Experience
planning and delivering large-scale corporate events, leadership forums,
and town hall meetings.
- Experience
working with senior executives and leadership teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public
Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong
presentation and storytelling abilities.
- Proven media
relations and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience
developing executive-level communications materials.
- Strong project
management and event coordination skills.
- Excellent
attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, planning, and
organisational skills.
- Experience
using internal communications platforms, email marketing tools, and
reporting dashboards.
