About Van de Velde

Shape the voice, image and story of an iconic fashion brand

At Van de Velde, we create premium intimates brands that empower women. Marie Jo is one of those iconic brands: known for its contemporary style, fashion-forward collections and feelgood attitude.

We're looking for a Communication Manager to become the driving force behind Marie Jo's brand identity and content creation. In this role, you'll ensure that every story, campaign, visual and message consistently reflects what Marie Jo stands for.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong organizational skills with a hands-on mindset, creative instinct with solid project coordination capabilities, and the confidence to build relationships and drive progress through collaboration and influence.

Your impact

Be the guardian of the Marie Jo brand

As Communication Manager, you are the go-to expert on everything related to Marie Jo's identity.

You understand the brand, its positioning, its audience and the women we create for. You translate consumer insights, market trends and brand strategy into clear messages, compelling stories and inspiring creative direction.

You'll work closely with social media, PR, performance marketing, design, brand marketing and external partners to make sure every touchpoint reflects the same consistent brand experience.

Whether it's a social campaign, influencer collaboration, newsletter, paid ad or brand shoot, you are the person who can confidently say:

"Yes, this feels like Marie Jo."

Or equally important:

"No, this is not on-brand."

Your authority comes from expertise, clarity and influence. You know how to align stakeholders, challenge ideas constructively and bring people together around one shared vision.

Drive the content strategy and content calendar

Content is at the heart of how consumers experience Marie Jo.

Together with the Senior Communications Manager, you'll translate the brand strategy into an annual content plan, seasonal narratives and campaign storylines that inspire teams across the business.

You keep a constant pulse on consumer behaviour, cultural trends and brand perception, using data and insights to refine messages and identify new opportunities.

From long-term campaign planning to weekly content priorities, you are responsible for keeping the bigger picture and the details perfectly aligned.

You'll coordinate multiple timelines simultaneously, ensuring everyone has the right content, the right messages and the right assets at exactly the right moment.

Lead creative content creation from idea to final result

From the first creative briefing to the final image selection, you'll own the content creation process for Marie Jo.

You will lead photo and video productions, brief photographers, stylists, agencies and creative partners, and represent the brand during shoots.

You are comfortable making creative decisions on set, providing feedback to experienced creatives and ensuring every visual aligns with Marie Jo's aesthetic and storytelling ambitions.

At the same time, you have a strong affinity for copywriting and verbal branding. You help define campaign messaging, validate copy, refine storytelling and ensure a consistent tone of voice across all channels.

You don't just create content. You create content that strengthens the brand.

• Experience within a fashion, lifestyle, luxury or consumer-focused brand environment

• Proven expertise in content planning, storytelling and content creation

• Strong experience managing complex projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously

• Excellent copywriting and editing skills
