CNC Programmer (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Tues. - Fri.)

Position Description:
The Programmer is responsible for interpreting project blueprints, designing programs, and setting up the lasers to produce the component outlined in the program. The Programmer also must perform test runs and make adjustments until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Read technical drawings and program/set up machines in accordance with product blueprints.
- Program, set up, and operate machines to perform production tasks, observe operations to ensure that specifications are met, perform minor preventive machine maintenance/repairs, and notify supervisors when major service is required.
- Observe machine operation and inspect equipment and materials to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary and identifying the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Cross-train on all CNC machines.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, work orders, drawings, and other instructions to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and material requirements.
- Obey all company, OSHA, and other state and federal agencies’ safety regulations and work within all safety guidelines.
- 7S, keep the work area clean and organized.
- Complete all duties as assigned, while making the most efficient use of time, raw materials, and equipment.
- Instruct other workers in machine set-up and operation as directed by the Automation Lead.
- Ability to work 40-50+ hour work weeks, dependent on production needs.
- Review and collaborate with Engineering to ensure drawings are correct and meet required specifications.
- Work as a team and communicate effectively with management and all employees.
- Other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned.
