A hands-on quality/metrology role at an aerospace manufacturer: the person programs and operates CMM machines using CMM-Manager to inspect complex metal and plastic parts, interpreting GD&T blueprints, developing inspection procedures, and reporting deviations.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position’s responsibility is to safely integrate knowledge, experience, collaborative approach and positive work ethic as a
CMM Manager Programmer in our Metals and Plastics divisions.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Demonstrated proficiency in complicated print interpretation, reviewing to understand manufacturing plans, high level
GD&T, and 5 years in Quality Inspection
• Extensive metrology background and be able to pivot between the sole-focus of your tasks to collaborating closely
with other people in the shop
• Experience programming using CMM-Manager
• Possess a good working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation and inspection techniques
• Ability to read & understand aerospace drawings
• Ability to inspect complex parts with tight tolerances utilizing conventional machine shop inspection tools
• Be highly detail oriented with a strong background in Aerospace Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.
• Have good communication, reading, reporting, and computers skills in MS Office (using Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• High School education with a strong mathematical background
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-year technical degree and/or 2 years shop floor machining or 6 months Quality Inspection
• Preferred experience in a machine shop/manufacturing/metalworking industry/environment
• Experience with CMM-Manager
• Knowledge of GD&T and general blueprint interpretation
• Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and organization skills
• Innovative thinker, self-starter, and solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to set up inspection processes, choose appropriate tools, and inspect parts with minimal or no supervision

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing interpretation and specification interpretation skills
to create CMM programs using CMM-Manager
• Participation in Quality Assurance System and Procedures
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills. Utilize all time saving methods personally developed or prescribed,
by management when applicable
• Show concerted effort to improve knowledge and grow with the company's technology
• Follow the company's ISO/AS business management system and guide others to do the same
• Work well with others and follow directions in a team' environment under project leaders or supervisors
• Program and operate direct computer controlled CMM using the latest version of CMM-Manager
• Develop inspection procedures and methods, make setups, determine the deviation from blueprint or standard, and
report results
• Assisting less experienced employees as required
