Our client is an established international holding group operating across trading, logistics, and investment sectors is seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Headquartered in Cyprus with cross-border operations, the group is establishing this newly created role to consolidate global financial governance, treasury, and investment management.
Responsibilities:
Drive group-wide financial modeling, dynamic budgeting, capital allocation, and long-term strategic planning.
Oversee multi-currency cash flow, working capital, and group liquidity management.
Deliver accurate consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) while ensuring regulatory and tax compliance across EU and offshore jurisdictions.
Serve as the primary liaison with global banking partners, external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsels.
Direct investment portfolio performance, conduct financial due diligence, structure M&A transactions, and evaluate strategic business opportunities for the Owner.
Requirements:
10+ years of proven financial leadership (CFO, Finance Director, or VP of Finance) within international, multi-jurisdictional holdings.
Demonstrated track record in cross-border corporate structuring, international tax optimization, and multi-entity financial consolidation.
Ability to maintain a 50/50 strategic balance between robust corporate financial controls and active investment/M&A deal execution.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Specialist with a European Higher Education degree or a European-accredited MBA or CMA is required.
High degree of autonomy, proactivity, and ownership—capable of designing structured financial frameworks from the ground up.
Excellent negotiation acumen, strategic clarity, and a peer-to-peer, partner-oriented communication style.
English: Professional fluency (both written and spoken) is essential.
Russian: Native or fully fluent proficiency is required.
Nice to have:
Certifications: Internationally recognized designations (ACCA, CFA, CPA, or CAP) are considered a distinct advantage.
Greek language: Working knowledge is a welcome advantage.
