CDL Regional Driver

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver, you'll safely transport steel products using a tractor and flatbed trailer. Responsibilities include:

• Safely operate tractor/trailer equipment
• Secure loads using chains, straps, and other approved securement devices
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety requirements
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain HOS, DVIRs, proof of deliveries, fuel receipts, and other required records
• Communicate with supervisors, sales, customers, and our transportation network
• Promptly report accidents, incidents, equipment concerns, and safety issues
• Help ensure cargo arrives safely and securely at its destination

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Valid CDL-A
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards
• Ability to safely handle the physical demands associated with flatbed driving
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to Safety, Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility

Preferred:

• 1 year of flatbed experience (not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• We hire new drivers from FMCSA approved ELDT (Entry-Level Driver Training) schools

PAY

• Minimum weekly pay: $1,478 for OTR drivers who meet daily check-in/check-out and work-assignment requirements
• $0.60 per mile
• $17.30 per stop
• $17.30 per trip
• $17.30/hour for delay and other qualifying hourly activities
• $52.50 layover pay paid as an expense, not taxable income
• Paid weekly
