What this role entails
· Perform accurate calibration of Fluke instruments, in accordance with approved procedures.
· Calibrate Fluke test equipment and verify that results meet applicable technical and quality requirements.
· Prepare complete and accurate calibration certificates, record measurement data in relevant systems, and maintain traceable documentation, as per standard work.
· Perform calibrations at traceable, accredited levels and repairs.
· To work through the daily backlog priorities unless there is a request to change priorities by the Cell/Laboratory Supervisor and/or UK Lab Manager
· Identify technical deviations, troubleshoot issues, and carry out minor repairs or adjustments within defined procedures and competence.
· Support safe, high-quality laboratory operations and contribute ideas to Lean, Kaizen and other continuous-improvement activities.
· To assist the Head or Deputy Head of Lab (Technical) with any investigation work, if requested, but with alignment with Cell/Laboratory Supervisor and/or UK Lab Manager.
· To assist the other Lab Calibration Technicians with any technical and measurement related queries or problems (Open collaboration).
· To report any non-conforming work to the Cell/Laboratory Supervisor or Lab Admin support team Manager via Teams, Email, or Oracle notes.
· A keen interest in continuous improvement, to enable improvements in lab.
You will join the Eindhoven calibration laboratory, a diverse and international team of more than 40 technicians. Working closely with technical and customer support colleagues, you will help the laboratory manage growth while maintaining reliable service and customer satisfaction.
What we are looking for
Qualifications
· Vocational or technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, calibration, metrology or a comparable discipline.
· Understanding of electrical/electronic measurement principles and an interest in developing broader calibration capability.
· Experience in calibration, test, repair or a related technical laboratory environment is preferred.
· Ability to read and follow technical procedures and record results accurately; familiarity with ISO 17025 quality requirements is preferred.
· Working proficiency in English.
