English

Driven by the passion to improve quality of people’s lives, WSA continues to grow as market leader in the hearing aid industry. With our commitment to increase penetration in an underserved hearing care market, we want to accelerate our business transformation in order to reach more people, more effectively.

Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition professional with a strong understanding of the Japanese talent market and a passion for building sustainable talent pipelines?

WS Audiology is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead and strengthen our retail talent strategy in Japan. In this role, you will own end-to-end recruitment across our Japan store network while driving sourcing strategy, employer branding, EVP activation and early-career talent initiatives. You will work closely with retail leaders and HR stakeholders to build a more proactive, data-informed approach to attracting and hiring talent across Japan.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end recruitment across the Japan retail network — covering store staff, Hearing Care Professionals, and Store / Area Manager positions — from intake and job description through sourcing, screening, interviews, evaluation and offer

• Build and optimize sourcing strategies across job boards, direct sourcing, referrals, agencies and social media; track channel effectiveness and cost, and use recruitment data to improve hiring quality and speed

• Develop sustainable talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill retail positions, reducing vacancy time and strengthening long-term hiring capability

• Localize and activate WSA's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) for Japan through employer branding initiatives including social media campaigns, careers content, in-store open days and hiring events — and measure their impact on applicant reach and quality

• Build partnerships with universities and vocational schools and lead early-career initiatives including campus recruitment, career fairs, internships and the Japan new graduate (shinsotsu) recruitment cycle

• Partner with Retail / Area Managers, HRBPs, Japan country leadership and the APAC TA team, providing consultative recruitment advice grounded in market insights and hiring data.

What you bring

• 7+ years of recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience in Japan, gained in-house or at a recruitment agency, including experience in retail or high-volume hiring environments

• Strong understanding of the Japanese talent market, recruitment channels and local employment practices, including familiarity with the Japan new graduate recruitment calendar

• Hands-on experience in employer branding, EVP activation, university and vocational school engagement, and campus or early-career recruitment

• Experience recruiting for multi-site retail or customer-facing networks, with the ability to manage multiple roles and projects in parallel without losing quality or speed

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable acting as a trusted TA advisor and influencing hiring managers using data and market knowledge

• Data-driven and highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to translate recruitment insights into practical hiring strategy

• Japanese: business-level or above, with full professional fluency (JLPT N1 equivalent or higher) | English: business level.
