We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience who are interested in computer-aided design, technical drawings, and drafting. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of design principles, familiarity with CAD software, and a willingness to learn and develop technical skills while working on real-world projects.

As a CAD Designer, you will assist the design and engineering teams in preparing accurate drawings, creating design layouts, updating technical documentation, and ensuring that designs meet project specifications. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in CAD tools, drafting standards, and design workflows.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D drawings and basic 3D models using CAD software.
• Assist senior designers and engineers in preparing technical drawings, layouts, plans, and design documentation.
• Interpret basic design instructions, sketches, measurements, and project specifications to develop accurate drawings.
• Update existing CAD drawings based on feedback, design revisions, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings follow the required dimensions, tolerances, standards, and formatting guidelines.
• Maintain organized files, drawing records, and design documentation for easy access and future reference.
• Coordinate with team members to understand project requirements and incorporate changes within specified timelines.
• Review drawings for basic errors, inconsistencies, and dimensional accuracy before submission.
• Support the preparation of design presentations, project reports, and other technical documents as required.
• Stay updated on CAD software features, drafting techniques, and relevant industry practices.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and project deadlines while handling assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided design and technical drafting principles.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools, depending on project requirements.
• Understanding of dimensions, measurements, drawing scales, and basic design concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and design instructions.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic design and drafting experience through academic projects, internships, or personal assignments.
• Familiarity with 2D drafting and 3D modelling concepts.
• A portfolio of CAD drawings, design projects, or technical assignments.
• Knowledge of industry-specific drafting standards and documentation practices.
• Interest in developing advanced CAD design and modelling skills.
