Maintain and optimize business applications for a local government council, focusing on system performance, incident resolution, and configuration tasks like workflow and report building. The role involves supporting the implementation and enhancement of the TechnologyOne ERP system.
We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team and play a key role in keeping Council’s business applications reliable, effective and fit for purpose. As the Business Systems Analyst, you’ll maintain system performance, resolve incidents and support continuous improvement activities that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services delivered across Council.
Your knowledge of application administration, troubleshooting, and people skills will see you build strong relationships and support active engagement with internal and external stakeholders to optimise Council outcomes. You’ll also play an important role in system configuration activities, including user administration, form design, workflow and report building. Beyond keeping things running, you’ll help make things better by supporting changes, upgrades and User Acceptance Testing, monitoring integrations and scheduled jobs, and improving data quality.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise or business application systems within a corporate environment.
- Experience in application support, systems administration, incident management and system enhancement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to use analytical skills, problem solve and think critically and diagnose, triage and resolve application issues.
- Sound ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with people of all levels, with varying backgrounds and disciplines in order to reach outcomes.
- Ability to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through Council’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation of TechnologyOne.

Essential position requirements
- This position requires you to hold and provide evidence of a current and valid National Police Check (NPC) before being appointed to the position.
