Business Intelligence Analyst

OVERVIEW

Make the team that changes the way the world experiences sport.

Sportradar is the leading global provider of sports betting and sports entertainment products and services. Since 2001, we have occupied a unique position at the intersection of the sports, media and betting industries, providing sports federations, news media, consumer platforms and sports betting operators with a range of solutions to help grow their business.

The Operational Account Management (OAM) team acts as the main point of contact between our growing client base and Sportradar. We are looking for a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to support the unit by developing interactive analytical applications, scheduled customer reports and ad hoc customer report requests. The Business Intelligence Analyst will also recommend and implement improvements to our reporting processes that allow us to automate specific requests coming from our client base.

THE CHALLENGE

• Deliver state-of-the-art data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging our data.
• Development of data visualisations and reports for analysing datasets (Power BI, Excel).
• Periodic reporting: automatic setup and distribution of reports.
• Present ideas and solutions to business users and software developers in a clear and understandable way.
• Propose new, innovative ways of using data to improve our products and services.
• Participate in data modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Co-create and deliver an ambitious business intelligence roadmap in close coordination with various business and technical stakeholders across Sportradar.

YOUR PROFILE

• Demonstrated technical expertise in business intelligence tools, the design and development of data analytics solutions and reports, and querying databases with SQL.
• Solid hands-on SQL skills — writing and optimising queries, joins and aggregations against large datasets.
• Prior experience working on projects related to data management and/or business intelligence.
• The successful candidate will be practised in hands-on development of software or analytics solutions. Knowledge of VBA beneficial.
• Experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) is a benefit — as is experience with comparable BI platforms, since we're happy to support the transition.
• Knowledge of data governance practices and Power BI security — workspace access, row-level security and controlled sharing of client data — is a benefit.
• An understanding of the gaming and sports betting industry is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena and/or Microsoft SQL Server is a benefit.

OUR OFFER:

• A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and US) including various social events and teambuilding.

• Flexibility to manage your workday and tasks with autonomy.

• A balance of structure and autonomy to tackle your daily tasks.

• Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants.

• Global Employee Assistance Programme.

• Calm and Reulay app (leading well-being apps designed to support focus, quality rest, mindfulness, and long-term mental resilience).

• Online training videos.

• Flexible working hours.

While we appreciate the flexibility and benefits of working from home, we strongly believe that coming together in person fosters stronger connections, encourages collaboration, and drives innovation—both as individuals and as a company. The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a fully on-site model, with team members working in the office four days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together. Certain exemptions may apply depending on location — your local point of contact can provide further details.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

• Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.

• Two Technical Interviews: Meet with the Technical team and later with the Hiring Manager to dive into your solution, as also discuss team fit.

• Onsite Interview (If not organized on prior interview stages): Meet with the local team and take a tour of our office for a final meet-and-greet.

• Finals Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!
