Overview
We are looking for a Business Finance
Analyst with an MBA in Finance and 3–5 years of relevant experience to support
financial planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and business
decision-making. The role will work closely with Sales, Delivery, Operations,
and Business Unit leadership to provide financial insights, identify
profitability improvement opportunities, and support commercial decisions. The
ideal candidate should have strong analytical and Excel skills, combined with
the ability to understand business drivers and translate financial data into
meaningful business insights.
Key
Responsibilities
1.
Revenue Forecasting & Variance Analysis
· Own the monthly revenue
projection process by coordinating and consolidating inputs from Sales,
Delivery, Operations, and other relevant teams.
· Analyze actual performance
against forecast and budget, identify key variances, and provide clear
explanations and business insights.
· Maintain forecasting models and
ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly projections.
2.
Margin & P&L Management
· Perform monthly margin variance
analysis against forecast and identify key drivers impacting profitability.
· Prepare the Monthly P&L /
Business Finance deck for presentation to Business Unit leadership and other
stakeholders.
· Provide actionable insights on
revenue, cost, margin, utilization, and profitability trends.
· Highlight emerging risks and
opportunities requiring management attention.
3.
Commercial & Pricing Support
· Partner with Sales and Delivery
teams to develop and evaluate pricing strategies across multiple customers.
· Support commercial proposals
and pricing decisions by analyzing revenue potential, cost structures, margins,
and deal profitability.
· Develop financial models and
scenarios to support new business opportunities and customer decisions.
· Track actual performance
against commercial assumptions after deal implementation.
4.
Margin Improvement & Cost Optimization
· Identify margin leakage and
profitability gaps across customers, business units, and operational processes.
· Develop financial models to
assess corrective actions and quantify potential benefits.
· Partner with business teams to
implement margin-improvement initiatives and track outcomes month over month.
· Analyze direct and indirect
costs and identify opportunities for better cost management and operational
efficiency.
5.
Utilization & Operational Analytics
· Prepare and maintain the
monthly utilization file across relevant business units.
· Analyze utilization trends and
their impact on revenue, capacity, and profitability.
· Work with Operations and
Delivery teams to understand key utilization drivers and highlight areas
requiring attention.
6.
Management Reporting & Ad-hoc Analysis
· Maintain a rolling backlog of
financial and business analyses requested by leadership.
· Provide timely analysis and
insights for management queries, business reviews, customer discussions, and
strategic initiatives.
· Develop dashboards, reports,
and financial models to support business decision-making.
· Present financial insights in a
clear and business-friendly manner to non-finance stakeholders.
7.
Costing & Financial Control
· Analyze costing across business
units and maintain visibility into operational costs.
· Track direct and indirect
costs, identify cost movements, and investigate significant variances.
· Work with relevant teams to
validate cost assumptions and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
· Support periodic reviews of
cost structures, resource costs, and operational profitability.
Requirements
Required
Qualifications
· MBA / PGDM in Finance from a
recognized institution.
· 3–5 years of relevant
experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial
Planning & Analysis, Management Reporting, or a similar role.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis, and
financial modeling.
· Ability to work with AI tools
as required
· Strong analytical and
problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to work with large
datasets and convert financial information into actionable business insights.
· Good understanding of P&L,
revenue, margins, costing, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability.
· Strong communication and
presentation skills.
· Ability to work effectively
with Sales, Delivery, Operations, and senior business stakeholders.
