Business Development Representative

At Champion, we believe that the biggest growth catalyst doesn’t lie outside, but within. It’s not about more, but about untapping the potential from opportunity that already exists — from within your champions and yourself.

As a product and a company, we’re set on creating deeper partnerships with organizations and their champions so each and every person can do more, together. Our mission is to help organizations activate their happiest customers as advocates — turning advocacy into a true growth engine.

But “Champion” isn’t just about business growth. It represents individual and professional growth. We’re building a company where every team member is empowered, celebrated, and supported to become their best.

As an early-stage startup, you’ll be part of the starting lineup — helping build the foundation for Champion’s GTM success alongside the founding team.

About the Role

Champion is looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to be the first point of contact with potential new customers. You’ll engage with Customer Marketing Leaders, Chief Marketing Officers, and GTM executives about driving growth through customer advocacy, while working closely with our Account Executives (AEs) and VP of Marketing to develop and execute a coordinated go-to-market motion.

This is more than a traditional BDR role — it’s an opportunity to reimagine how outreach is done. At Champion, we believe the best growth comes from human connection, customer-centricity, empathy, and curiosity. You’ll help pioneer a motion that replaces transactional outreach with meaningful engagement — where every conversation builds trust, not just pipeline.

Your goal is to develop relationships with prospects in our Ideal Customer Profile and convert them into high-quality opportunities through authentic outreach, warm introductions, re-engagement of past conversations, and by driving attendance to Champion’s in-person and virtual events. You’ll partner closely with our AEs to identify and develop opportunities and with our VP of Marketing to align outreach with campaigns, content, events, and broader marketing initiatives.

We will also invest heavily in your professional growth and Champion YOU!! You’ll be invited to join the Pavilion GTM community to learn from your peers, receive professional coaching, and have direct mentorship from the CEO and COO.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect and Engage: Lead outreach to prospective customers through thoughtful, human-centric communication across email, social, and events.
• Build Relationships: Develop authentic connections with customer marketing, advocacy, and GTM leaders across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
• Create Pipeline: Identify new opportunities through warm introductions, event engagement, and outbound campaigns, aligning closely with our CEO and COO.
• Market Intelligence: Research target accounts to identify organizational priorities, customer programs, and advocate signals that align with Champion’s mission.
• Marketing Collaboration: Support campaigns, events, and launches — turning engagement into meaningful conversations.
• Process Evolution: Help build and redefine the SDR motion — tools, messaging, metrics, and playbooks. You’ll leave your fingerprint on how we scale and build a human-centric framework for driving growth.
Own Results: Set and achieve measurable goals for outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline created, while ensuring quality stays high.

What You’ll Bring

• A self-starter mindset — resourceful, proactive, and driven by results.
• Genuine interest in customer marketing, GTM innovation, and AI in B2B.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect quickly and authentically.
• Deep empathy and human-centric communication — you understand that great selling starts with listening, curiosity, and trust.
• Curiosity and confidence to engage executives with purpose and thoughtfulness.
• Ability to learn quickly, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
• Perseverance: You push through challenges with consistency and optimism, always finding a way forward.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000–$70,000
• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000–$85,000
• Equity: Early-stage equity grant
• Benefits:
• Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage for employees
• Monthly equipment stipend for laptop, monitor, and tools
• Flexible time off policy
