Business Development Manager Renewable Energy

Business Development Manager – Renewable Digital Solutions

BaxEnergy Solutions | APM, PPC, SCADA-related Digital Solutions & Cybersecurity | The UK

You are the person renewable energy operators, utilities, and developers turn to when they need to turn data into performance - not just to plug in software, but to bring domain expertise, commercial instinct, and real market knowledge to the conversation. At Yokogawa, technical authority has a seat at the business table, and this role is built for someone who knows how to use it to grow a market.

The role

As Business Development Manager - Renewable Digital Solutions, you are Yokogawa UKs' commercial driving force for BaxEnergy solutions in the UK renewable energy market. You develop new business for Asset Performance Management (APM), Power Plant Controller (PPC), SCADA-related digital solutions, and cybersecurity services for critical renewable assets.

You own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and qualification through to contract signature - working closely with presales, product, R&D and delivery teams. You are the person who translates the momentum of the energy transition into qualified opportunities, trusted customer relationships, and differentiated value propositions across solar, wind, BESS and grid.

What you’ll do

Sales strategy & business development

• Develop and execute a sales strategy for the UK, accelerating the growth of BaxEnergy solutions in the renewable market
• Identify and qualify new opportunities across IPPs, utilities, EPCs, developers and asset owners
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signature
• Promote Yokogawa and BaxEnergy solutions - APM, PPC, SCADA-related digital platforms, and cybersecurity for critical renewable assets

Stakeholder relationships & proposals

• Build executive and technical stakeholder relationships across the renewable value chain
• Coordinate proposals with presales, product, R&D and delivery teams to deliver coherent, differentiated offers
• Represent Yokogawa and BaxEnergy at trade fairs and customer events

Pipeline & forecasting

• Maintain strong CRM discipline and clear forecast visibility
• Structure and manage a reliable commercial pipeline with visibility on priorities and growth drivers

What you bring

You have a strong track record in sales and business development, with a minimum of 5 years of sales / business development experience and a minimum of 3 years in renewable energy - solar, wind, BESS, grid, or digital solutions. You understand renewable market dynamics and the technical ecosystems that drive them.

You bring solid knowledge of the digital solutions that sit at the heart of modern renewable assets. Experience with SaaS, SCADA, PPC, EMS, industrial software or cybersecurity is a strong advantage - enough technical fluency to earn the trust of engineers, and enough commercial instinct to turn that credibility into business.

You are fluent in English (mandatory); an additional European language is a plus. You are comfortable building relationships across IPPs, utilities, EPCs, developers and asset owners, and you are willing to travel across the UK and Europe.

Why join Yokogawa now

The UK renewable market is scaling at a pace it has not seen before. REPowerEU and the drive toward a net-zero, decentralised grid are pushing record investment into solar, wind, storage and grid digitalisation - and none of it delivers value without the software that monitors, controls and protects it. Yokogawa is investing decisively in this space: BaxEnergy’s cross-technology, cross-manufacturer APM and REMS platforms, the PXiSE-powered Power Plant Controller, and a global network of energy specialists behind every local opportunity.

Joining Yokogawa now means building something. You will be the person who establishes Yokogawa and BaxEnergy in the UK renewable market - with the backing of a global industrial technology leader, and the autonomy to do it your way.

What we offer

This is a role with real ownership. Technical and commercial expertise has a genuine voice at Yokogawa - you will have access to senior stakeholders, a seat in strategic conversations, and the backing of European and global expert teams.

• A role with direct impact on Yokogawa UK’s renewable digital-solutions growth strategy

• Development through international projects, European CoE networks, and Yokogawa’s global energy and sustainability organisation
