A Business Analyst role in Melbourne supporting business and technology transformation at a leading financial services organisation — gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder workshops, mapping processes and producing documentation across AML, onboarding and regulatory initiatives. Agile experience is required; Avaloq and wealth management exposure are highly regarded.
You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements, improve processes and shape solutions that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities Include
Gather and document business requirements, user stories and process maps
Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders
Support regulatory, AML, onboarding and transformation initiatives
Analyse and improve business processes and operating models
Collaborate with project teams through design, testing and delivery phases
Produce high-quality business documentation and stakeholder communications
About You We're interested in speaking with professionals who have:
3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, or equivalent experience within financial services environments
Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and business analysis capability
Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria and business documentation
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Exposure to Agile delivery environments
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work across diverse initiatives

Wealth Management or Private Banking experience
Exposure to financial products and advisory environments
AML, KYC or Financial Crime project experience
Regulatory Change and Compliance initiatives
Digital Onboarding and Client Lifecycle Transformation
Data Analysis, Reporting and Insights projects

Experience with Avaloq or similar wealth management platforms
Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and SDLC methodologies
