Business Analyst in Wellington supporting a large organisation's SAP programme, integrating a new enterprise risk management capability. Day to day: facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, running impact assessments, and documenting processes, integrations and data flows across SAP HR/HCM (or FICO) and connected systems.
We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a large organisation undertaking a significant programme of work within its SAP environment. This role will focus on supporting the integration of a new enterprise risk management capability, working across business and technical teams to understand impacts, gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and produce clear technical documentation.
This is an opportunity for a BA who can quickly get up to speed, bring people together, and translate complex technical information into practical solutions. You'll work closely with SAP specialists, integration teams, and business stakeholders to analyse end-to-end processes, identify impacts and dependencies, and help ensure key deliverables are achieved within tight timeframes.

While we're primarily seeking candidates with SAP HR/HCM experience, we'd also be interested in speaking with Business Analysts who bring strong SAP FICO or Finance experience.

About the Role
- Facilitate workshops to gather information, validate requirements, and drive solution discussions.
- Work with technical teams to document current and future-state processes, integrations, and data flows.
- Conduct impact assessments across systems, applications, interfaces, and business processes.
- Produce clear technical specifications and documentation to support delivery activities.
- Analyse upstream and downstream dependencies across SAP and associated systems.
- Support integration activities within a complex SAP landscape.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are understood, documented, and fit for purpose.
- Contribute to activities involving identity and access management, organisational structures, master data, reporting, and finance-related processes.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within SAP environments.
- Strong experience working with SAP HR/HCM or FICO.
- Strong workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and documentation skills.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience conducting technical impact analysis, dependency mapping, and data flow analysis.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Exposure to data analysis and system integration activities.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
