Techno-functional Business Analyst with 3+ years in banking-domain regulatory reporting: analyzes international banking regulations (Basel accords) and translates them into functional specs, data models, SQL-based analysis, UAT testing, and documentation within an Agile team. We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with over 3 years of experience in the banking sector or IT firms within the banking domain, particularly in regulatory reporting. In this techno-functional role, you will analyze international banking regulations and translate them into actionable software solutions and functional specifications. Strong experience with SQL for data analysis and excellent communication skills are essential for engaging various stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from national and international banking authorities.
Translate regulations into functional specifications including Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, and Business/Validation rules.
Perform functional implementations using SQL.
Create functional scenarios & test data, conduct UAT and regression testing.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to understand product roadmaps.
Maintain detailed end-user documentation and technical-functional guides.
Support customer projects and resolve functional tickets.
Collaborate with national and international colleagues at various levels.
Key Requirements
Primary key skills -Regulatory Reporting, Basel III / Basel IV, PD, LGD & EAD, SQL, Banking Domain Experience.
3+ years of experience in a Bank, Financial Institution, or IT firm within the banking domain.
Preferred: Degree in Finance, Business, IT, Mathematics, Economics or similar.
Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with XML, XBRL, JSON, and MS Excel/Access is a plus.
Basic understanding of Banking Products, Financial Instruments, and Financial Markets.
Fair understanding of Balance Sheets and basic accounting concepts.
Knowledge of Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, and Basel accords is desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Hands-on experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
