Business Advisor (Marketing Services Account Manager) - Hervey Bay/Bundaberg QLD

Before you read any further, answer these five questions honestly.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Q1. Do you genuinely love building client relationships and growing accounts?

• YES - You are not a one-and-done salesperson. You get real satisfaction from watching a client's business grow because of what you brought to the table.

• NO - If you are purely motivated by the hunt and moving on, this role is probably not the right fit. The MS role is built on long-term relationships and repeat growth.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Q2. Do you have hands-on experience in digital marketing, SEO, AEO, SEM or social?

• YES - This is not just desirable, it is essential. You can have a genuine, credible conversation with a business owner about their digital marketing performance and back it up with knowledge.

• NO - Digital marketing expertise is a hard requirement for this role. If you do not have it, the BDM role may be a better fit for where you are right now.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Q3. Does a total package of $135.2K get you started, knowing you can earn up to 5 x $42K in OTE on top?

• YES - Your secured package is base $71.6K, plus 12% super, plus $13K car allowance, plus $42K OTE. Hit your targets and you take home $135.2K. Top performers go further, earning up to 5 x $42K in OTE in a single calendar year.

• NO - If you need a higher guaranteed base to commit, we understand. This role is designed for someone who sees $135.2K as the floor and backs themselves to go well beyond it.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Q4. Can you manage a portfolio of 150+ clients and consistently grow it?

• YES - You are organised, disciplined and know how to prioritise. You do not drop the ball on relationships and you are always looking for the next opportunity within your existing accounts.

• NO - If managing a large portfolio feels overwhelming rather than exciting, this role will be challenging. It requires someone who thrives on variety and volume.

──────────────────────────────────────────

Q5. Do you want to build your career inside a business that is genuinely growing?

• YES - Thryv has roles open across Australia and New Zealand right now with more coming. You are joining at the right moment.

• NO - If you are looking for a steady, low-change environment this probably is not it.

ABOUT THRYV

Thryv has been helping local businesses compete for over 125 years. Now with an AI-powered platform built to get found online, win more customers and drive repeat business in one unified platform. The businesses we work with are the plumber trying to get found online, the dentist who needs more business, the mechanic competing against franchises with bigger budgets.

We give them the tools to compete. And we give the people who sell those tools a career worth having.

THE ROLE

This is a field-based account management role with real commercial teeth. You will inherit a portfolio of 150+ SMB clients across Brisbane QLD and your job is to grow it, retain it and deliver genuine results through tailored digital marketing solutions.

You will be out visiting clients face-to-face every day, presenting SEO, AEO, SEM and social solutions that solve real problems for real businesses. You will spot upsell opportunities, close them naturally and build the kind of trusted relationships that mean clients do not go anywhere.

Digital marketing is not a bonus here. It is the job. You need to know SEO, AEO, SEM and social well enough to have a genuine, credible conversation with a business owner about what is working and what is not.

The targets are real and attainable. Your first three months come with a guaranteed 50% OTE so you can build relationships and momentum without financial pressure. Hit your targets and you take home $135.2K. Top performers earn up to 5 x $42K in OTE in a single calendar year.
