Brand Manager | Opening Mama Shelter Mexico City

YOUR MISSION

Mexico City is full of places to sleep. We want to be the place everyone is talking about.

At Mama Shelter, we don’t just sell rooms. We create experiences, connections, unforgettable evenings, moments worth sharing, and stories worth telling.

That’s why we’re looking for our next Brand Manager — someone who can turn ideas into experiences, content into conversations, and collaborations into something that truly makes an impact.

If you love urban culture, music, food, events, and always have a thousand ideas running through your head, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

YOUR ROLE

You’ll be at the heart of the Mama Shelter Mexico City brand, working closely with the hotel’s General Manager and the Marketing & Communications team at headquarters to bring the Mama spirit to life in the capital.

Your goal? Get people talking about Mama Shelter Mexico City, engage the local community, and create memorable experiences for our guests.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Events & Community

• Design and execute original events, parties, pop-ups, artistic collaborations, and cultural initiatives both inside and outside the hotel.
• Build an annual events calendar aligned with Mama Shelter’s brand DNA and global brand activations.
• Coordinate external partners, artists, DJs, agencies, and internal teams to deliver unique and memorable experiences.

Social Media & Content

• Define and develop the local social media strategy.
• Create engaging content — including photography, video, and copy — for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Bring the Mama Shelter story to life through authentic, creative content that perfectly reflects the brand’s tone of voice.

Public Relations & Influencer Relations

• Build strong relationships with journalists, content creators, influencers, and local media.
• Organize press days, press stays, and dedicated media events.
• Manage collaboration requests, photo shoots, interviews, and productions.

Brand Experience

• Ensure consistent brand image and identity throughout the hotel.
• Adapt international brand guidelines to the local market while preserving the true Mama spirit.
• Keep communication materials, menus, signage, and graphic assets up to date.

Local Marketing

• Develop collaborations with artists, designers, emerging brands, and local cultural communities.
• Stay constantly connected to trends, events, and new opportunities in Mexico City.
• Identify fresh, original ideas that get people talking about Mama Shelter Mexico City.

Analysis & Coordination

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of events, social media activity, and PR initiatives.
• Work closely with the global Brand team to ensure consistent, impactful, and on-brand communication.

MADE FOR YOU? ONLY IF…

We’re looking for someone creative, curious, organized, and highly action-oriented — someone who is excited to make things happen.

Ideally, you have:

• Around 4 years of experience in Brand Marketing, Hospitality Marketing, Events, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience within hospitality, lifestyle, food & beverage, entertainment, or related industries.
• A degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English; a third language will be considered an advantage.

YOUR LITTLE + ARE:

• You’re always one step ahead of what’s trending — from the hottest new opening to the next big cultural moment.
• Your phone is basically a creative studio: you spot content opportunities everywhere and know how to turn them into stories people want to share.
• You’re a natural connector — artists, DJs, creators, brands, and local communities somehow always end up in your orbit.

AND NOW YOU KNOW THE TUNE…

First verse: No AI screening at Mama! Every application is personally reviewed, and we take the time to get to know your story.

Second verse: First, you’ll have a phone conversation with our People & Culture team to see if we’re a good match.

Chorus: After the phone interview, we’ll invite you to an online or face-to-face conversation.

Final verse: Of course, you’ll hear back from us within two to three weeks at the latest, whether the answer is ✔️ or ✖️.
