About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Blockchain Developer (Backend) to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for their decentralized applications and platforms in East London . You will be instrumental in building the core infrastructure that powers our client's blockchain solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency. This role requires a strong foundation in backend development principles combined with a solid understanding of blockchain technology and smart contract interactions. You will work collaboratively with frontend developers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that interact with blockchain networks.
• Implement and optimize smart contracts for various use cases, ensuring security and efficiency.
• Integrate blockchain components with existing enterprise systems and third-party services.
• Design and manage databases relevant to blockchain applications.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code following best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with blockchain development, including smart contract implementation (e.g., Solidity) and interaction using libraries like Web3.js or ethers.js.
• Understanding of distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms.
