Overview

NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology.

At NV5 Digital, we help architects, engineers, and building owners make better decisions through reliable digital information. We do that by putting people on client accounts who actually know the work — not just the software.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you the go-to Revit expert in your office? Do your colleagues come to you when they're stuck on a workflow, a family, or a model that isn't behaving? Do you find yourself thinking about better ways to set up a project before it even starts? Do you enjoy tracing a recurring issue back to its root cause and building a better process so it doesn't keep happening?

If that sounds familiar, and you're ready to take that expertise into a consulting role where you help multiple teams get better — this is worth a look.

What makes our team valuable to clients is deep AEC knowledge — understanding what gets produced at each phase, why it matters, and what it actually takes to make a project run. We look for people who bring that understanding, whether from years in practice, in-house BIM leadership, or hands-on consulting experience.

We're seeking an experienced, highly motivated BIM Manager / Revit Specialist to join our Digital Design team. You'll work alongside a collaborative, experienced team — so you're never left alone to figure it out. Clients get the benefit of the whole team's experience, and you have real backup when things get complicated. What you bring to your accounts matters; so does the team around you.

Responsibilities

Remote, work from home. 5-day, 40-hour work week with some flexibility on working hours. Candidates can be based anywhere in the US.

We work daily in Revit, ACC/Forma, Navisworks, Dynamo, and related platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Work as part of a team serving assigned BIM Management clients — responsive, consistent, and proactive
• Build and maintain client-specific Revit templates, family libraries, and BIM standards documentation
• Conduct project kickoffs and advise client teams on Revit workflows, project setup, and best practices for their project types
• Run regular project health checks — trace patterns and root causes, and recommend sustainable improvements before issues affect the client
• Deliver Revit training to client staff — one-on-one, small group, and structured sessions tailored to their skill level and workflows
• Set up and administer ACC/Forma environments; collaborate with client IT on access and infrastructure
• Maintain client knowledge bases, workflow guides, and BIM resources — keep them current and genuinely useful
• Contribute to internal practice improvement — share what you learn, flag what could work better

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

• 5+ years of hands-on Revit experience working in or with AEC firms, with a demonstrated ability to understand project-wide impacts, identify patterns, and improve workflows
• Strong proficiency in architectural Revit workflows; MEP experience is a meaningful plus
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain templates, develop family libraries, and support Revit environments across active client accounts
• Proficiency with ACC/Forma — setup, administration, and user enablement
• Experience delivering training or technical guidance to peers or client teams
• 2- or 4-year degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered

SKILLS & WORK STYLE

• You are organized and reliable — clients and teammates know they can count on you
• You manage your own time and workload without needing someone to check in on you
• You communicate clearly and consistently, both in writing and one-on-one
• You follow through on what you say you'll do, and when something comes up you flag it early rather than letting it sit
• You're comfortable working directly with clients in meetings and training sessions, from individual support calls to brief training workshops
• You're a team player — comfortable asking for help, sharing what you learn, and contributing to a group that gets better together
