About the company
Our client is a financial technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own server-side engineering for a latency-sensitive platform, covering risk logic, distributed state handling, live data processing and the interfaces that front-end clients depend on. You will work closely with colleagues in a fully in-person setting.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain risk management services that help control exposure when conditions are volatile.
- Design and implement state machines behind core transaction, settlement and risk workflows.
- Develop services that keep data consistent across concurrent asynchronous processes using coordination and consensus techniques.
- Ingest live data feeds and orchestrate time-sensitive actions across multiple external systems.
- Create fast, dependable request-response and streaming interfaces for client applications.
Requirements
What we're looking for

- Production experience with Rust.
- A track record shipping server-side software for demanding, low-delay workloads, with hands-on systems-level depth beyond data pipeline work.
- Solid grounding in asynchronous programming.
- Working knowledge of several database types, including relational, time-series and key-value stores.
- Prior experience at a startup.
- Personal side projects, ideally in Rust or C, that can be reviewed on a public code profile.
Bonus points
- Background at a fintech, crypto or high-frequency trading firm.
- Low-latency or trading-systems experience.
- Experience at a venture-backed startup.
