Backend engineer rebuilding a corporate payments platform using C#/.NET Core, SQL, microservices/event-driven architecture on AWS. Day to day: design and ship APIs and backend services in a small autonomous team, modernise legacy services, mentor engineers, and use AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot. Hybrid: mostly home working with two office days a week (Bracknell).
