Clera is hiring a junior-to-mid-level backend engineer, on-site in Berlin, to own core backend infrastructure (permissions, auditability, observability) for AI-native private-markets operations software across hosted and self-hosted deployments. Core stack: TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and IaC tools like Terraform/Pulumi.
Join a small engineering team building AI-native operations software for private markets. You will own core backend infrastructure that supports reliable, secure workflows across hosted and self-hosted deployments.
Build and maintain backend systems for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
Manage deployment architectures for hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tools.
Improve production reliability, performance, and security.
Partner with product teams to deliver features while maintaining quality standards.
Apply AI-native development practices to support rapid, high-quality releases.
One to six years of professional backend development experience.
Production experience building backend services with TypeScript and NestJS.
Production experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma.
Experience managing deployments with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Experience improving production systems in areas such as reliability, security, performance, observability, or auditability.
Practical experience with AI, machine learning, large language models, or AI-native systems.
Compensation is €70,000 to €110,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
