Genius is looking for an in-person Backend Engineer to help build the ultimate music companion. Overseeing a community of hundreds of millions of daily active users contributing to millions of pages of lyrics, annotations, and music metadata, your work will power product features and analytics on , insights in our public API, and data exchange with our partners—with no shortage of interesting challenges to solve.
As a backend engineer for Genius, you will play a key role in strengthening our data infrastructure, helping us process, transform, and serve the music knowledge that powers everything we do. You’ll build the pipelines, databases, and APIs that allow us to serve unique music insights to our fans. Additionally, you'll work to improve the stability, performance, and scalability of Genius' backend services, which is no small feat for a platform serving millions of users daily!
The base salary range for this position is $145,000–$180,000 and is determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, relevant skills, and industry knowledge.
