Job Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer with practical experience in Python and FastAPI to join a development team in Qatar. The role focuses on building reliable backend services, REST APIs, database integrations, and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and FastAPI.


• Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs.


• Work with relational databases and SQL.


• Implement secure and reliable API solutions.


• Use Git for source‑code management and collaboration.


• Develop automated tests to maintain software quality.


• Work with containerization technologies for application deployment.


• Support system integrations and backend data flows.


• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance.


• Contribute to solutions involving financial transaction processing where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• Practical experience with Python and FastAPI.


• Experience developing REST APIs.


• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.


• Knowledge of Git and version‑control practices.


• Understanding of API security.


• Experience with automated testing.


• Knowledge of containerization.


• Understanding of system integrations is preferred.


• Financial transaction processing experience is preferred.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.


• Valid QID is mandatory.


• NOC is mandatory.


• Candidates must be locally available in Qatar.
