Backend Developer – Global Customized Solutions

Build the integrations that make complex access solutions work.

What happens when a customer needs SKIDATA products to work with a system they already rely on? That’s where you come in.

As a Backend Developer, you’ll design and build tailored software integrations that connect third-party systems with SKIDATA products. You’ll solve varied technical challenges, work with integration partners and turn specific customer requirements into working solutions.

Why this role matters

Access solutions need to work seamlessly with the wider systems customers depend on. Your work will help turn specific customer requirements into reliable solutions, extending the flexibility and reach of SKIDATA products across different markets and real-world environments.

The role

You’ll independently own integration projects, from technical design through implementation, testing and documentation, while working as part of the global GCS team. Alongside your development work, you’ll support colleagues across regions and contribute to shared coding, architecture and engineering practices.

What you’ll work on

• Build custom integrations — design, develop, test and document backend solutions connecting third-party systems with SKIDATA products.
• Develop in C#/.NET — build reliable solutions primarily using .NET.
• Work with APIs and interfaces — develop and integrate solutions using technologies such as REST, SOAP, gRPC, RMQ and sockets.
• Support integration partners — provide integration support for public interfaces and help third-party companies connect with SKIDATA systems.
• Contribute to engineering practices — support the implementation of coding standards, architecture guidelines and reusable frameworks, and contribute to practices such as CI/CD and AI-assisted development.
• Support colleagues across regions — assist regional developers and contribute to code reviews, technical mentoring and consistent quality.

What will help you succeed

• Professional backend experience —at least 3-5 years of professional experience developing and maintaining backend applications in C# / .NET, with the ability to work independently after onboarding.
• Integration delivery experience—hand-on experience building, deploying and supporting production integrations between multiple systems using technologies such as REST, SOAP, gRPC, RMQ or sockets.
• Modern development practices — familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps, an understanding of secure coding, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Collaborative approach — self-organised, analytical and comfortable working with colleagues across different regions and cultures.
• Business-fluent English and Spanish are required, as both languages are used regularly in day-to-day collaboration.

Why SKIDATA

At SKIDATA, you’ll work on technology that connects access solutions with the wider systems customers rely on, while having the autonomy to own your work and collaborate with colleagues across borders.

• Meaningful impact — Build integrations that help SKIDATA access solutions work seamlessly with the systems customers and partners depend on.
• Innovation & scale — Work with modern backend technologies, APIs and integration solutions as part of a global organisation.
