Testo, with its headquarters in the Black Forest/Germany, is a world market leader in the field of portable and stationary measurement technology. Worldwide, roughly 3900 employees research, develop, produce and market innovative measurement solutions for Testo. The basis for this success, in addition to the highly qualified and motivated staff, is the above-average commitment to a future-oriented development - roughly 10% of the annual concern turnover is invested in Research & Development. With 37 subsidiary companies and over 80 distribution partners, Testo is represented on all five continents.
Role Description
- Modern Backend & API Development: Design, build, and maintain services and RESTful APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, deployed on SAP BTP's cloud-native runtime.
- Structured Growth into SAP: Learn SAP CAP and RAP to develop and extend business services, paired from day one with an experienced SAP colleague. You'll take on CDS Views, OData services, and Cloud Integration (CPI) topics progressively, with a defined ramp-up plan rather than being expected to arrive at SAP-fluent.
- Clean Core & Extension Strategy: Apply Clean Core principles to keep S/4HANA extensions sustainable and upgrade safe. Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our ABAP/S/4HANA developers, business units, and IT teams to analyze requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
What We Offer
- A dynamic role where you keep working with modern cloud and backend technology — not a one-way move into legacy SAP development.
- A structured onboarding path into SAP BTP/CAP with dedicated pairing and mentoring from senior colleagues, not unsupported immersion.
- Direct influence on how we modernize our SAP extension approach, as part of our Clean Core and Cloud-first transformation.
- An international, cross-country working environment (Germany, Portugal, China) with a genuine continuous-learning culture.
- Competitive remuneration benchmarked against the modern backend/cloud market.
