200K+ connected devices. 60+ hardware platforms. 99.99% availability. One cloud platform.
signageOS powers digital signage for companies like McDonald’s, Starbucks, and 7-Eleven, as well as airports, retail stores, and offices around the world.
Most software companies build applications. We build the infrastructure connecting cloud services with hardware across dozens of platforms and operating systems.
Unreliable networks, inconsistent firmware, devices going offline unexpectedly?
These aren't edge cases. They're the product.
Build once. Deploy anywhere.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Backend Engineer who knows their way around complex systems, thinks independently, and gets things done.
You'll help build and evolve the platform behind 200,000+ connected devices worldwide, with real ownership of your work and a say in technical decisions.
Our stack
TypeScript · Node.js · MongoDB · GraphQL · Kubernetes · AWS · GCP · React / Next.js
We use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and other AI tools to speed up development and cut down on repetitive work.
Who would thrive here
Digital signage experience isn't strictly required. We're after strong engineering skills and people who know how to put them to work.
What you'll work on
Why signageOS
Infrastructure, not CRUD. Build technology other software companies rely on.
Real engineering challenges. Distributed systems, hardware fragmentation, and keeping 200,000+ devices running reliably.
Ownership & impact. Have a real say in how things are built and where the platform goes next.
Engineering over process. Small, experienced team. Minimal bureaucracy. Room to do things right.
