Position: Azure DevOps Engineer

Join Epiroc Mining India Private Ltd in Bengaluru as an Azure DevOps Engineer and play a crucial role within our Research and Development department. This position offers the opportunity to lead the DevOps strategy for automation platforms, delivering scalable CI/CD systems and driving cloud-native deployments aligned with DevSecOps best practices across global mining operations.

About the Role

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using industry-leading tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps. You will manage complex Git version control workflows and automate release processes to ensure rapid and reliable software deployments.

Your role includes overseeing cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform to build scalable, cost-effective, and resilient environments. You will support hybrid cloud and edge computing architectures vital for our autonomous mining solutions.

Containerization is paramount to this role; you'll manage Docker and Kubernetes deployments, architecting scalable solutions that improve deployment reliability and enable advanced rollout strategies such as canary and blue-green deployments.

Monitoring and operational excellence are essential, where you'll implement robust logging, alerting, and incident management protocols rooted in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to ensure high system availability and swift issue resolution.

Security integration through DevSecOps practices is a key responsibility, embedding security within CI/CD pipelines, managing access controls, secrets, and compliance to uphold our enterprise standards for secure software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to enable seamless software delivery.
• Manage Git workflows including branching strategies, code reviews, and release automation to support collaborative development.
• Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure platforms with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Oversee container orchestration via Kubernetes and Docker to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system performance and reliability in line with SRE practices.
• Automate routine tasks and deployment processes through scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Integrate security best practices into every stage of the CI/CD pipeline to ensure compliance and secure software releases.
• Collaborate with global interdisciplinary teams spanning India, Sweden, and Australia to drive DevOps initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 6 to 9 years of proven experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
• Advanced skills in Git version control, including complex branching and merging workflows.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS and Azure, including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Proficient in scripting with Python and Bash for automation and deployment purposes.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience working effectively in Agile software development environments.
