Fixed-term Azure Data Engineer (official title: Software Engineer) at UK housing association L&Q, building and maintaining scalable, automated data pipelines on their modern Azure data platform using Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and Logic Apps, covering ingestion, transformation, modelling and delivery through to BI. Hybrid role based in London (Stratford) or Manchester (Trafford).

Starting from £57,094 per annum dependent on experience (London weighted salary) or from £49,502 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

We’re building a modern data platform on Azure — and this role puts you right in the action. You’ll get hands‑on with tools like Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Logic Apps and more. It’s a chance to work on real, production‑grade solutions while sharpening your cloud skills and growing alongside a strong, supportive team. You’ll design and build scalable, automated data pipelines that bring together information from across the organisation. It’s a hands‑on engineering role covering everything from data ingestion to transformation, modelling and delivery — all within a modern Azure environment. Great data powers great decisions. We’re investing in our platform and need sharp, curious engineers to help us deliver faster, smarter insights. You’ll report to the Lead Data Engineer and be part of our Data Engineering Team, working closely with architects, analysts, testers and delivery squads in an agile, cross‑functional setup. You’ll be supported to learn, contribute, and help shape the platform we’re building.
