Lead full-stack engineer (AVP) on DBS Bank's Wealth Management Technology team in Singapore, designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications for portfolio management, product recommendation, and insurance fulfilment. Core stack is Java Spring Boot and ReactJS with microservices/micro-frontends deployed on OpenShift, plus squad leadership and mentoring.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of full-stack applications supporting portfolio and wealth management capabilities, including: Product Recommendation Case Management Investment and Insurance Fulfilment Journeys Financial Objectives and Needs Analysis Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and partner teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technology solutions. Drive end-to-end delivery within the squad, ensuring high-quality implementation, timely execution, and alignment with architectural and engineering standards. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of full-stack engineers, supporting solution design, code reviews, technical problem-solving, and delivery execution. Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to implement microservices and micro-frontend based solutions that support evolving business needs. Promote engineering best practices across software development lifecycle, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Support application deployment and operational readiness using cloud-native platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and related technologies. Partner with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure successful implementation of business initiatives. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and delivery effectiveness.
