This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands\-on automation development, learning modern industrial software technologies, and working closely with real machines and production systems.
**What drives this department**
Our team develops the foundation for intelligent material flow in sheet metal manufacturing. We build flexible systems that connect storage towers, machines, and transport solutions, including driverless transport vehicles. We combine traditional automation with modern software and connected device technologies to create smart, data\-driven production environments.
**What you will be doing**
* Develop and maintain PLC software for automated storage and intralogistics systems using Beckhoff TwinCAT
* Implement machine control for storage and intralogistics systems, according to interfaces to laser cutting cells, bending cells, and higher\-level software systems
* Support the development of configurable and reusable software architectures for modular machine systems
* Participate in commissioning and testing activities in\-house and occasionally at customer sites
* Troubleshoot and optimize automation workflows, machine sequences, and communication systems
* Work closely with mechanical, electrical, HMI, and software engineers in interdisciplinary project teams
