## Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for managing financial reporting, month-end closing, MIS, reconciliations, audit coordination, and other core accounting activities. The role requires a proactive individual with strong hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate and timely financial data management.
## Responsibilities
- Manage **month-end and year-end closing activities**, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books.
- Prepare and review **financial reports, management reports, and MIS** for business and management review.
- Handle **accounting and financial reporting activities** in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
- Perform **regular bank, ledger, vendor, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations**, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Support the **preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation**.
- Coordinate with **internal and external auditors** during statutory and financial audits, providing required data and documentation.
- Ensure **accuracy and completeness of accounting entries** and supporting schedules.
- Assist in **accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other core accounting activities**.
- Identify **accounting discrepancies** and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Support **GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities** as applicable.
- Assist in **improving financial reporting processes, controls, and workflows**.
- Work closely with **cross-functional teams** to ensure timely availability of financial data and reports.
## Qualifications
- **2 – 6 years of relevant experience** in financial reporting, accounting, controllership, or finance.
- Strong hands-on experience in **financial reporting and month-end closing**.
- Good understanding of **MIS preparation, reconciliations, and financial statements**.
- Experience in **audit coordination and audit support**.
- Strong knowledge of **core accounting principles and processes**.
- Exposure to **GST, TDS, and statutory compliance** (preferred).
- Excellent **analytical and problem-solving skills** with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in **MS Excel**; experience with **ERP/accounting software** is preferred.
- Educational qualification: **Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field**.
## Preferred Skills
- Experience in **FMCG, D2C, e-commerce, retail, consumer goods, QSR, or other consumer-facing industries**.
- Ability to work **independently** and manage **multiple priorities**.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and auditors.
- Knowledge of **financial workflows and process improvements**.
## Experience
- **2 to 6 years** of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, controllership, or finance roles.
