We're looking for a creative and driven Architectural Designer to work in our Raleigh, NC office and be part of a growing team working on impactful projects. As an Architectural Designer at Summit, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the built environment. You’ll contribute to projects from concept through construction, and gain exposure to a wide range of design phases and building types.

Responsibilities:

Support all phases of design including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration.

Create design drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models using Revit and other software.

Coordinate project documentation with structural, civil, landscape architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty consultants.

Assist Project Architects and Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and deliverable coordination.

Conduct building code, zoning, accessibility, and life-safety research and incorporate requirements into project documentation.

Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors in virtual, in-person, and on-site meetings.

Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews throughout design and documentation phases.

Perform site visits, field verification, and existing conditions documentation.

Assist with construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, change order evaluations, punch lists, and site observation reports.

Create presentation graphics, renderings, diagrams, and materials for client presentations and project pursuits.

Mentor interns and entry-level designers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, materials, building systems, and industry best practices.
