You & your role

Shape the architectural direction of Rabobank’s Sovereign AI Platform and help teams innovate with confidence. As Senior Solution Architect, you design a secure, resilient and scalable foundation for responsible artificial intelligence. You connect architecture, data, engineering, security and business needs, turning complex challenges into clear choices. Your work enables development teams across Rabobank to create trustworthy artificial intelligence solutions while meeting strict requirements for security, compliance, operational quality and sovereignty.

Examples from practice

• Design a cloud-native platform that supports secure and responsible artificial intelligence across Rabobank.

• Create reusable platform capabilities and guardrails that help development teams build trustworthy solutions.

• Balance rapid innovation in agentic artificial intelligence with security, compliance, resilience and operational quality.

Facts & figures

• 36 or 40 hours per week.

• More than 20 nationalities are represented in the international teams working on this strategic artificial intelligence initiative.

• 43,822 Rabobank colleagues worldwide.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Define architectural building blocks and integration patterns that support scalable agentic artificial intelligence solutions.

• Translate complex technical and organisational challenges into clear architecture choices and pragmatic platform roadmaps.

• Drive alignment across squads, departments and stakeholder groups to support sustainable platform growth.

Work with specialists across architecture, data, engineering, security and business domains. You make architecture understandable and actionable, mentor colleagues and help multidisciplinary teams turn their knowledge into stronger platform capabilities.

Together we achieve more than alone

We believe in the power of differences. By combining people’s different perspectives, we become an even better bank. We are therefore curious about what you will add to our Global Data & Analytics Platform Tribe, within the Analytics Platform area.

The people in the Global Data & Analytics Platform Tribe build the foundations that enable teams across Rabobank to develop artificial intelligence products responsibly, securely and at scale. Collaboration is how we work, as 1 technically focused team within Rabobank. You work with talented colleagues across architecture, data, engineering, security and business domains.

Work on yourself & the world around you at the same time

For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That is why we invest in you and work together towards a better world. We summarise this in 1 sentence: “At Rabobank, you work on yourself & the world around you at the same time”.

You will see this reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid working environment and a healthy balance between work and home. You can contribute to banking for private and business customers, as well as social issues such as the food and energy transitions.

Why everyone is welcome at Rabobank

At Rabobank, we believe we become stronger through people who complement one another. By embracing our differences, we bring out the best in each other. We seek diversity in knowledge, skills and experience, as well as in sex, background and culture. Every department aims to offer variety and room to be yourself, whoever you are. That is what diversity and inclusion at Rabobank are about.

You & your talent

• Experience designing and operating large-scale enterprise platforms with cloud-native and containerised architectures.

• Experience with software engineering best practices, platform design and architecture governance.

• Experience with data integration for structured and unstructured data and with agentic artificial intelligence frameworks, orchestration platforms, evaluation methods or artificial intelligence governance.

• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor colleagues while creating clarity in complex situations.

• Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and effectively in English across different disciplines.
