Architect, Ad Monetisation
At TechnologyOne, our mission is simple: to simplify life for our customers and help them thrive in a world that's always evolving. As we build a new strategic commercialisation capability, we're looking for an experienced Architect, Ad Monetisation to establish the end-to-end architecture and translate our commercial strategy into scalable technical capability.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of technology, data and commercialisation. You'll own the target architecture, technical standards, integration strategy and design authority for Ad Monetisation, while advising Product, Commercial and R&D teams on how technical decisions support revenue growth, yield, customer experience and sustainable cost-to-serve.
You'll shape the full advertising technology ecosystem, including ad serving, demand orchestration, measurement and reporting, consent, identity, first-party data, partner integrations, observability and operational resilience. Working across Commercial, Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Privacy and Enterprise Architecture, you'll turn business requirements into secure, high-performing solutions and build alignment through influence.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new strategic capability from the ground up and influence both TechnologyOne's product architecture and emerging revenue model. The role is primarily focused on strategic architecture, solution design and technical validation, with hands-on prototyping where needed to test decisions, reduce risk and accelerate delivery.
What you'll be doing…
- Own the target architecture, technical standards, integration strategy and architectural roadmap for TechnologyOne's Ad Monetisation capability.
- Lead the Technical and Architectural Design Authority, applying TechnologyOne's Enterprise Architecture principles and making decisions that support scalability, security, resilience and long-term product evolution.
- Design the end-to-end ecosystem across ad serving, demand orchestration, SSPs, DSPs, header bidding, measurement, reporting, identity, consent platforms and other partner integrations.
- Define the first-party data architecture, including segmentation, targeting and future clean room capability, and ensure clear data governance and accountability.
- Embed privacy, consent, security and regulatory compliance by design across the architecture, including integrations with consent and advertising partners.
- Set and govern non-functional requirements for performance, scale, availability, observability and operational resilience across ad-serving and reporting workloads.
- Translate commercial priorities into practical technical designs, explicitly considering revenue growth, fill rate, eCPM, yield, customer experience and cost-to-serve.
- Partner with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Privacy and Enterprise Architecture stakeholders to align decisions, priorities and delivery plans.
- Create solution designs, data models, technical prototypes and other artefacts where needed to validate decisions, remove complexity and reduce delivery risk.
- Provide architectural guidance to development teams, coach technical capability and support resolution of complex cross-platform issues.
- Clearly communicate architectural options and technical-commercial trade-offs to senior and non-technical stakeholders, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Continually improve the technology landscape, engineering practices and operating model to support faster, safer commercial releases.
What success looks like…
- An approved target architecture and sequenced roadmap are established for the Ad Monetisation capability.
- Priority demand, consent and measurement partner integrations are enabled securely and at scale.
- Performance, privacy, security and resilience requirements are measurable and consistently met.
- Architectural risk and delivery complexity are reduced, enabling faster and more predictable commercial releases.
- Technical decisions demonstrably support revenue, yield, customer experience and sustainable operating outcomes.
Your Talents…
- Deep experience in advertising technology or digital monetisation architecture, ideally within a publisher-side or platform environment.
- Strong understanding of ad serving, demand stacks, programmatic integrations, measurement and yield optimisation.
- Experience integrating advertising technology ecosystems, including SSPs, DSPs, CMPs and related demand, identity or consent partners.
- Strong understanding of first-party data, segmentation, targeting, data governance and privacy-by-design.
- Demonstrated ability to establish technical direction and translate commercial requirements into secure, scalable and practical architectural solutions.
- Strong knowledge of non-functional requirements, including security, privacy, performance, scalability, resilience and observability.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to connect architectural decisions to revenue, yield, customer and operating outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders without direct authority.
- A pragmatic approach to architecture that balances technical excellence, commercial outcomes, customer impact and delivery realities.
Highly regarded…
- Experience with clean rooms, advanced identity solutions or B2B2C product models.
- Experience in enterprise software, SaaS or another complex technology environment.
- TechnologyOne-specific industry or technical knowledge.
