What you will do:
- Investigate and resolve application incidents, defects, and performance issues across development and production environments;
- Analyze logs, stack traces, alerts, metrics, code, and system behavior patterns to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions;
- Troubleshoot applications, ETL/batch processes, databases, Linux/Unix environments, scripts, and AWS services;
- Collaborate with Application Development teams, Product Owners, users, and senior stakeholders throughout the incident resolution lifecycle;
- Develop and maintain operational scripts, tools, runbooks, and documentation to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk, and enable knowledge sharing;
- Identify recurring issues, automation opportunities, and process improvements that enhance application stability, performance, and operational effectiveness;
- Participate in Change Management activities, assessing risks, dependencies, implementation plans, and production impact;
- Produce operational reports, health metrics, post-incident reviews (PIRs), and executive summaries for technical and business stakeholders;
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate incident analysis, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and solution development while maintaining full ownership of technical validation and outcomes;
- Support proprietary client technologies, with training provided as needed.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
- Advanced English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and stakeholders;
- Strong experience in application support, production engineering, SRE, software engineering, or a similar role supporting critical production environments;
- Proven experience investigating incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and resolving complex production issues;
- Solid Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills, including process analysis, diagnostic commands, permissions, and system investigation;
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technology such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MongoDB, or equivalent;
- Knowledge of ETL processes, scheduled jobs, batch processing, optimizing, and operational failure analysis;
- Experience in at least one object-oriented or structured programming language, as well as experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell Script, or Perl;
- Experience with debugging, unit testing, code refactoring, and building resilient, maintainable solutions;
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Lambda for application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting;
- Understanding of data structures, performance optimization, capacity management, risk assessment, and production support best practices;
- Experience using AI-assisted development and productivity tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar solutions, to improve troubleshooting, automation, and software delivery;
- Experience with operational metrics and service reliability indicators such as MTTR, MTTD, SLA compliance, availability, and automation effectiveness;
- Experience with observability, AIOps, anomaly detection, or automated remediation solutions;
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have:
- Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated, mission-critical environments;
- Experience with Big Data and distributed computing technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, or similar platforms;
- Strong experience supporting large-scale enterprise Java or .Net applications.
