Who we are
The NSW Early Learning Commission (Commission), established as the independent regulator for early childhood education and care (ECEC) in New South Wales on 1 December 2025, is responsible for regulating more than 6,000 ECEC services across the state.
Our role is to ensure services meet high standards of safety, quality, and compliance through ongoing assessment, monitoring and enforcement.
The Commission places children at the centre of all decision-making, working to ensure they are safe, respected, and supported to thrive in high-quality early learning environments that promote their development, wellbeing, and lifelong learning. It also drives continuous improvement across the sector through evidence-informed regulation and reform to strengthen community confidence in ECEC services.

About the role
As the Application Support Analyst, you will be a National Quality Agenda IT Systems (NQAITS) specialist, providing customer-centred functional system support and advice and building staff knowledge and capabilities in using the system.
In this role you will also:
Provide timely responses and solutions to NQAITS-related enquiries and incidents, ensuring alignment with current regulatory processes and practices.
Deliver targeted training to regulatory staff focused on executing key processes within NQAITS to enhance effective system use.
Proactively analyse system incidents and data requests, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions.
Actively engage with regulatory staff to understand and stay informed of changing or evolving business practices, ensuring system support and advice remain relevant and effective.
Support service and project delivery activities, including scheduled data extraction, meeting coordination, and preparation of related documentation.
This role provides critical support to regulatory staff, enabling them to effectively use NQAITS application to support the regulation of early childhood education care services and help ensure children receive safe, quality education and care.

About you
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in providing technical and functional IT systems support including delivering training sessions.
Impeccable customer-focused service delivery
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues and provide practical and timely solutions
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical information into clear, plain English and build the capability of system users
Effective stakeholder and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
Applicants must declare any investigations they have been subject to as an ECEC employee or Responsible Person, and any personal or professional conflicts of interest with current or former NSW Early Learning Commission employees, approved providers or ECEC services.
Essential requirements of the role
Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
Demonstrated understanding of and committed to the value of early childhood education and care.
