- Ensure development work supports secure, reliable, scalable, and supportable solutions for CAD, RMS, and related platforms.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while supporting system lifecycle management and long-term sustainability.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership, supervision, and work direction to developers and technical resources within the Mission Critical Development Unit.
- Assign and coordinate technical work based on approved priorities, resource availability, technical complexity, and operational impact.
- Establish and reinforce development standards, coding practices, documentation expectations, peer review, and application design principles.
- Coach and mentor staff, promote knowledge sharing and cross-training, and reduce single-person dependencies across mission-critical systems.

- Act as a technical lead or senior technical contributor on approved projects, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
- Support planning, estimation, technical design, implementation sequencing, testing, deployment readiness, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, business stakeholders, operational units, enterprise architecture, information security, and other IT teams to deliver technical components.
- Provide specialized development support for operational issues requiring code changes, integrations, configuration updates, or technical remediation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical defects where development expertise is required, coordinating with the Mission Critical Support Unit and appropriate support functions.
- Escalate resource conflicts, scope changes, architecture exceptions, risk concerns, funding or licensing impacts, and priority conflicts through established governance channels.
- Prepare and maintain technical designs, implementation plans, support documentation, escalation paths, known-issue information, and vendor support details.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and support-readiness validation before handing completed work to operational support teams.
- Remain accountable for implementation-related activities until transition to operations is complete and ownership is accepted by the appropriate support team.
- Build collaborative relationships and communicate technical status, risks, operational impacts, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
