Application Delivery Consultant

What Youll Be Doing (position summary):

The Developer is accountable for leading the design, integration, and deployment of Information Security application systems within CIBC The role acts as a technical lead and subject matter expert, building flexible and scalable solutions that enhance the Cyber Security experience and protect the bank The incumbent will collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver innovative solutions and provide Level 3 support for implemented systems.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):

Technical Leadership and Solution Delivery:

• Act as technical lead and SME for the analysis and documentation of business requirements, estimation of work packages, and coordination of end-to-end implementation of security tools and technology solutions.
• Lead the design and development of cost-effective, innovative solutions to meet business objectives and maintain existing applications.
• Ensure technical solutions meet quality standards and align with business and project requirements.

Application Integration and Programming:

• Perform and coordinate application integration activities, including design and development of scripts and code (eg, shell, Python, Ansible playbooks, API integrations).
• Test, debug, document, and adjust to ensure successful integration and implementation of vendor tools into the CIBC environment.
• Act as Level 3 support post-implementation, collaborating with the Application Operations team and tool vendors for issue resolution.

Mentoring and Collaboration:

• Mentor and coach less senior team members to build team capability.
• Lead solution review sessions and provide guidance during production and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with IST business analysts, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, network engineering, security engineering, and other internal partners to deliver solutions.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Collaborates with IST business analysts, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, network engineering, and security engineering teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Works with the Application Operations team and external tool vendors for issue resolution and support.
• Engages with project managers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

• As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

JOB DIMENSIONS

• Scope includes enterprise-level delivery of cybersecurity application solutions impacting multiple business units.
• Provides technical leadership and Level 3 support for implemented solutions.

Experience: 6+ years of experience

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in information security solutions and technologies.
• Strong technical knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, shell and Python scripting, Ansible, API integrations, log management, SIEM tools.
• Knowledge of application delivery life cycle (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum), JIRA, code version control systems
• Experience in incident resolution and disaster recovery.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead technical solution reviews and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative, scalable solutions in a complex environment.

Good to have Skills:

• Experience with network engineering concepts, high availability, and Microsoft Azure
