About the role

We’re looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Analytics Engineer to own and optimize the core data architecture supporting our financial and marketing operations.

You’ll be the primary owner of the daily data operations that feed Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Tax reporting, Controlling, Finance reporting, and Marketing campaign cost tracking.

The role combines ETL development and maintenance, database management, job orchestration, BI reporting, and production troubleshooting. You’ll ensure our data pipelines run reliably, our databases remain performant, and our dashboards provide accurate and actionable information to stakeholders.

Precision, stability, and the ability to diagnose issues quickly are critical to this role, particularly around daily reporting and month-end financial closing.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and optimize core ETL pipelines using Pentaho Kettle 9.3 Community.
• Manage complex data transformations and queries across MariaDB and other relational databases.
• Ensure automated data jobs are reliably orchestrated through Jenkins.
• Work with transactional and financial data supporting Payment Service Providers, Tax reporting, Controlling reconciliations, and Finance reporting.
• Manage the daily ingestion and tracking of marketing campaign costs and advertising spend from multiple platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain critical financial dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense.
• Analyze data and translate it into logical conclusions and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve data issues in live production environments.
• Implement robust error handling and troubleshooting processes to maintain data reliability.
• Ensure daily reporting and financial closing processes are not delayed by data or pipeline issues.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding data issues, impact, progress, and resolution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience implementing ETL processes, managing databases, and building BI solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Kettle or similar legacy ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica.
• Strong experience with relational databases, ideally MariaDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for job orchestration and automation.
• Strong experience with Qlik Sense
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is also relevant.
• Proven experience working with Finance data, including Payment Service Providers, Tax reporting, Controlling processes, or financial reconciliations.
• Experience working with Marketing data, particularly campaign cost ingestion and advertising spend tracking.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Strong production troubleshooting and error-handling capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints, particularly during month-end financial closing.
• Outstanding communication skills and a methodical, diagnostic approach to problem-solving.
