AI Security Lead designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for AI platforms, models, data pipelines, and inference environments at a global enterprise. Works across the CISO organization (SOC/CERT, IAM, Cloud Security) to embed AI-specific guardrails into MLOps and CI/CD, guided by frameworks like MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and the EU AI Act.
Our client is looking for a highly motivated AI Security Lead who will ensure that security controls for AI platforms and models are thoughtfully designed, continuously maintained, and fully embedded into engineering and operational processes.
In this role, you will work closely with enabling teams across the CISO organization, leveraging existing security services and enhancing them with AI-specific capabilities and patterns.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organization, collaborate with international stakeholders, and contribute to building secure AI capabilities across the enterprise.
Your Responsibilities:
Define and drive the enterprise AI Security strategy, roadmap, and target state in close collaboration with the CISO and senior security leadership.
Own the development and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide AI Security capabilities, ensuring consistent security standards and risk treatment across the organization.
Define AI-specific security requirements, controls, patterns, and guardrails covering AI platforms, models, data pipelines, and inference environments.
Partner with SOC/CERT, IAM, Cloud Security, Platform Security, MLOps, and Security Management teams to embed AI Security capabilities into existing enterprise security services and processes.
Act as the enterprise subject-matter expert on emerging AI security risks, including model poisoning, data leakage, adversarial inputs, and misuse of generative AI, and translate these risks into practical security measures.
Drive the integration of AI Security into enterprise AI/ML platforms, development processes, and CI/CD environments, ensuring security is embedded by design rather than addressed as an afterthought.
Establish scalable AI Security patterns and guardrails to ensure consistent risk management across business units and AI use cases.
Shape multi-year capability roadmaps, investment cases, and priorities, and provide strategic oversight of external vendors and AI Security solutions.
Requirements
Senior-level leadership and expert experience in AI Security, with strategic ownership of enterprise-wide security capabilities. This is a leadership and subject-matter expert role, not an engineering or consulting position.
Proven experience defining and implementing security strategies in close collaboration with the CISO and senior security leadership, ideally within large, complex enterprise organizations.
Deep experience in designing, operating, and scaling enterprise security controls, with strong operational ownership and seamless integration into SOC/CERT, IAM, Cloud Security, and CI/CD environments.
Strong understanding of AI/ML platforms (data pipelines, model training, inference, model repositories) and AI-specific threats such as model poisoning, data leakage, adversarial inputs, and misuse of generative outputs.
Proven ability to embed AI security controls into enterprise platforms and workflows.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML security techniques, tools, or frameworks such as adversarial ML, model scanning, AI guardrails, MITRE ATLAS, and secure AI lifecycle approaches.
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act, with experience translating these into practical technical controls.
Experience shaping multi-year security capability roadmaps, defining target states, building investment cases, and managing specialist vendors delivering AI security tooling and services.
Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with an independent and proactive approach.
Business-fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage.
